Many have asked how I came up with the idea of V’s. The answer lies in my fond memories of going to the classic barber shops for a hair cut with my dad while growing up in Tucson. I keenly remember the sights and smells of Nick’s Barbershop and the real experience of being a boy among men. It was a place that we could go together and do more than get a hair cut. It was a place that made lasting memories. My son was born in 1994 and I went looking for a barber shop that would let me make memories with him. I did not find the local barber shop that I was looking for in Phoenix, or anywhere else, so I decided to open one. Really good experience at Vs. The environment is friendly and welcoming. Being a first time customer, Curtis asked me what I was going for. I told him how I usually get my hair cut elsewhere and then what I wanted differently. Based on this, he made some recommendations and got started. He took his time and definitely takes pride in his work. After he was finished, he offered styling tips that were tailored to how my hair lays. Will definitely be going back.

Place has really gone downhill. Got to my appointment within the 7 minute grace period (called ahead) and got denied. I got there and my barber was already cutting someone else’s hair and didn’t take me because “I wasn’t there so he was taking his time” with the other cut). Ridiculous and not worth the money. Don’t waste your time and hard earned money coming here.
