Critical: Professionalism, QualityWanted to send a warning for brides looking for wedding hair and make up. Do not use The Prettiest You (Janelle Hayden) based out of Vancouver. She was recommended to me by my future sister law who used her for her wedding approx. 5 years ago. She had a great experience, but something has shifted in her professionalism in the last five years.After exchanging several emails I booked her for my wedding.When we were forced to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, I reached out to reschedule with her. I attempted calling and emailing approx twice per week with no response for two months. I was finally about to get ahold of her through a former coworker of hers who gave me her personal cell. After getting ahold of her, she was very defensive and still felt entitled to the deposit. She did not apologize for the lack of communication and still tried to convince me that I needed to use her after being ghosted. We agreed that she would take a couple of weeks and get back to me on refunding at least part of the deposit. It has now once again been over two months and despite my attempts to call her work line, email, and personal cell phone I have not received any response. Having to replan a wedding during COVID is stressful enough without having vendors like Janelle.
