The atmosphere is very relaxed and clean. The staff are professional and knowledgeable about their work. I received a beard trim, neck shave and haircut with shampoo station. The hot towels were extremely relaxing. I am definitely going again and will sign up for a membership (it has some pretty awesome perks). Staff were very polite and social. By far one of the best beard and hair services I’ve had in a long time.

I had been hearing positive reviews from friends about Scissors and Scotch, and they all proved to be warranted! Highly recommend this spot for a men’s haircut. Staff is very friendly, service is high quality, and all around exactly what I was looking for in a relaxed environment. I’ve been to my share of other higher-end barbers in DC, and the complementary cocktail and facial included at Scissors and Scotch for the price makes this well worth the patronage. I will be back and bring friends with me next time around!

I had a great experience with my stylist Maggie. The environment is very laid back, the bar is very sleek, and the haircut was fantastic. I recommend also doing the facial and hot towel treatment. Best thing about this place, they don’t rush you and really take their time pampering you. I will definitely be back! Haircut

Had a great time first experience! First time ever being offered a complimentary cocktail with my haircut and already looking forward to the next trip back. Niki was friendly and very helpful. Very nice place and the barbers/stylists are very skillful. The bar and waiting area is pretty spacious and management does what they can to make things right when issues do arise. Parking isn’t optimal – you’re going to have to pay to park in the garage around the corner or make several laps in the hopes to find street parking so plan your travel accordingly. I had to recently cancel my membership because I moved out of the District but if they ever expand into western MD I would sign up again immediately!

This was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back. Quality drinks at the bar with sports on. You get one complimentary drink per visit and the quality of my haircut and beard trim was superb. They made a believer out of me for sure.

The 10 year is excellent in its own right. The bar is a great add on. Clean, professional high end atmosphere. I was lucky enough to time a walk-in, would definitely recommend an appointment so that your day isn’t structured around the wait.

Single worst haircut I have ever received. I sent this review privately right away, but no one has responded after 10 days so I’m posting publicly. My hair is as straightforward boys’ hair as it comes and it was completely butchered. I asked for a clipper on the side, blended to the top, uniform length on top. After 45 minutes, I still had long hairs all over the place and I was asked repeatedly (5x) to run my fingers through my own hair to check on any parts that needed fixing (there were whole clumps of untrimmed hair). The service was terrible – I was early and waited 20 minutes after my appointment time to get started. Upon finish, I was not offered the free drink or told anything about their membership plans. And this cut cost over $50!!! Plus my hair was an absolute disaster and I had to go home and fix it with my own scissors and clippers. This entire experience was absolute rubbish from start to finish.
