I tried to make an appointment for an eye exam as a new patient. The receptionist asked for my insurance which is understandable, but when I said that I am not sure, she said in an inpatient tone “you need to know if you want to make an appointment. I said, “I understand.” Then she said you need to know what insurance you have if you want to make an appointment” again as if I did not hear her the first time. Then I said “it is Kaiser Permanente would you like the ID number?” She then said “no that is not how we look it up. What plan do you have?” I said “I dont know, my wife is a patient there can you talk to her and look up her insurance because we have the same plan.” She then hung up on me. Then when I called back, she hung up again right away. I guess caller ID. Anyway, I will never do business with them again and they lost my wife as a customer as well.
