The front receptionist was really nice, and offered me a beer while I waited. Erika had a very warm personality, and instantly made me feel comfortable. I have been coming to Bishops in Multnomah Village in Portland for about a year now. Rachel cuts my hair. She does a great job with my hard to manage curly slightly above the shoulder hair. She has tons of experience & has tried a unique type of cut that no other hair dress or has ever done before to manage my hair & it works like a charm! I would recommend Rachel to anyone and especially for those with hard to manage curly hair.

Bald fades are a delicate art and she handled it like a true professional and left me feeling delighted with the results. Bait and switch: Had been a loyal Bishop’s customer getting the same buzz cut every two weeks for a decade. Literally spent thousands there over the years. My usual location closed so booked at the Multnomah Village location – same good haircut, but was charged twice as much for a “short cut” instead, despite my pointing out I had booked a buzz cut and my cut fit their own definition of buzz cut as described on the Bishop’s website: “ANY CUT REQUIRING ONLY CLIPPERS, UP TO 3 GUARDS.” Bummer. Guess I’ll need to find a new place.
