I’ve worked as a professional and licensed massage therapist in a chiropractic office for 20 years. During that time I have provided bodywork for a wide spectrum of clients from elite athletes to hospice care patients. This has given me excellent skills and a deep knowledge of the human body. I specialize in Swedish, Russian Sports, Injury, and Trigger-point Therapy. I combine all the modalities together to break through any trouble spots you may have. I’m easygoing and open-minded which creates a warm, welcoming, and trusting environment in my massage room. I’m a big teddy bear at heart.

I rarely take the time to leave a review, but today I received one of, if not, the best therapeutic massages I have ever had, and I have had a lot of massages over the past 30 years. From the moment I arrived and laid down on a heated massage table, I knew I was in for something special. I’m not entirely sure where to start. Winward Massage had been recommended by a friend of mine months ago, and I finally got around to booking an appointment (90 minutes). The massage studio was pristine clean, impeccably decorated and had a soothing ambiance, with relaxing instrumental music playing. Ryan was very professional (but also warm and interested), and he started by asking some questions about the massage experience that I was hoping for (deep tissue massage, in my case) and inquiring about any problematic areas. He also checked to make sure the volume levels of music, temperature, lighting were to my liking. He then started the massage – and I must say I was, within a couple minutes, blown away by his strength (he incredibly muscular and strong) and his intuitive touch. It was abundantly clear that he new what he was doing, and that he had extensive knowledge about the muscles, tendons and whatever it was that he was kneeing, stretching or massaging. He constantly checked with me to make sure that the pressure was not too soft or too hard. He also had a great sense of when I wanted to talk and when I wanted to tune out. He had a great demeanor and soothing voice – a real professional. (I know I sound like I’m his mother ghost-writing a review – but I swear that’s not the case… it simply was a fantastic massage experience! I will definitely be going back (and I immediately came home and told my spouse they simply MUST immediately book an appointment with this man. I have to also mention – and this must come from his extensive training and experience – that he had great insight into any sports injuries I was suffering from (for example, a clicking in both of my shoulder joints when I was lifting weights), and he identified the muscle and ligament that needed to be worked, and then “went in for it”, and after he was finished, I was able to lift and rotate my arms above my shoulders, for the first time in years, without them ‘clicking’ and without a shot of pain. Seriously, I cannot say enough about my massage experience. Simply the best, by far, that I have experienced in the 15 years I have been in this valley.
