I set up 9 visits for facial hair removal to be done at the Tropicalaser , made all 9 payments upfront. On my 5th visit the employee was not there, so the owner (clinical director) took her place that day. The experience was completely different, the laser machine had never been applied so intensely and after the 1st to 2nd minute the owner (who just so happens to be RN) stopped the treatment informing me that my skin was having a “reaction “and that I should go home and schedule another visit. When I arrived home and looked in the mirror, I realized I had suffered a deep burn above my upper lip (a bruised whole), caused by the totally irresponsible usage of the laser machine. I called the clinic the next day informing the owner that I had suffered an intense skin burn from the laser. I spent over 3 months sending her pictures of the burnt area and requesting help, as I always insisted it was a severe burn she would disagree calling it a minor scab. Making a long story short I requested a full refund due to all the inconveniences I had, such as, not being able to get any sun for over 3 months (affecting my work), having a massive and embarrassing burn scar with pus dripping constantly over my lips everywhere I went. After 3 months of many calls and speaking directly with the owner, she finally agreed that she was responsible for the recklessness of the way she handled the laser machine. But, she would not agree on giving me a full refund, she gave me a partial refund for the visits I had not used. After 5 intense treatments and this terrible scar I now carry the laser hair treatment from this clinic made ZERO difference removing my facial hair. It has all grown back in less then 2 months, the only place it does not grow is on this terrible scar I now carry.
