I made an appointment for 2:30 and was there right on time. It looked like there was only the one nail tech and everyone else was doing pedicures. There was a girl getting her nails done before me, so I was told to sit. Another girl came in about 5 minutes after me to also get her nails done. I waited for 30 minutes before finally getting my nails done. I chose my color and showed her a picture of what I wanted to get done, but I wasn’t clear enough on what I wanted and she thought I was just showing her the shape, so she started putting the red all over my nail instead of starting with nude. That was totally my fault for miscommunicating, so I’m not upset at all, but she didn’t quite get all of it off and you can still see it through the clear. It all felt very rushed because there was another client waiting, so the side view of the nails is very choppy and not blended well into my natural nails. She also kept stopping while filing to check her phone and text people, which was frustrating. When doing my nail art, she chose a red a bit lighter than what I had chosen earlier, which might clash with my dress that I’ll be wearing to the Sweetheart’s dance this weekend. I think the work could have been amazing if it wasn’t so rushed and she took her time, so I’m sad I came in on a busier day. The nails definitely aren’t awful, but I think they could have been done with more care.

I found this place on Google and didn’t know how the experience would be. I was immediately greeted and didn’t have to wait at all. The staff was so kind and attentive and made me feel that my ideas for my nails were a priority. My wedding is a week away so I needed my nails to look great! Both my pedicure and manicure turned out AMAZING and I was in and out of there within an hour and a half! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, clean and professional place!

Critical: Cleanliness, QualityThis is the second time this nail salon has let me down and I’m done returning. The black tips was from another time done by Cindy and today I went in to get a simple gel polish and an overlay to strengthen my nails. After 3-4 times telling her I wanted the overlay and that my nails were brittle she still didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for and continued to file off my old gel instead of soaking it further thinning my already thin nails. After she cut into my skin I just told her to throw on some clear polish instead of the gel color I was originally going to get because my nails would break anyways wasting the gel. I was charged $21 for her to put my hands in some luke warm water, buff, and file. When leaving I looked at their price list and I was charged for a “deluxe” manicure and a $1 covid fee. Not sure what was deluxe. The tools and area I sat in was very unclean so not sure what the covid fee is for because it’s not like you’re putting money towards making your shop extra sanitary. Went in today and even though we were walk-ins they took us right away and did an incredible job! Not only that but I was shocked at how good the price was. Usually for a gel french tip manicure I’m spending $55 plus tip elsewhere but this place was priced extremely reasonably. He did everything I asked from nail shape and tip shape. He was even very patient with me as I don’t get my nails done often so I tend to be confused when they’re asking questions. I’ll definitely be coming back for that price and level of service.

This is the quality for $50?? I used to go a long time ago but was very sub par. I only took my daughter today for her bday since we could walk in and was hoping for a good set for her. I feel as a nail tech, if you feel you don’t have the ability to do specific designs then be upfront with your clients. That’s what I do when doing clients hair etc. Also, while we waited, two other ladies came in that needed their nails fixed due to lifting that were done the day before. Not sure why I stayed anyway. Never again! Reading through reviews it looks like they deflect problems a lot also while apologizing. Reviews are here to help better the business. I’m really disappointed I spent $50 and my daughter still not happy.

The tech didn’t even clean my hands/nails well. Dirt was left under my nails, my cuticles weren’t pushed back, and the nails were filed very unevenly. The pedicure and manicure altogether were very mediocre jobs. In and out was her goal it seemed. I tried to have a conversation with her to see if maybe she would take her time/slow down. Nope she just kept on going but maybe that’s because she suffers from language barriers. She also had an AirPod in her ear and that might have affected her hearing. Again not sure. One thing is for sure this is a solid star. The earphones were a huge turn off for me. I’m here to pamper myself and the person who is supposed to be helping me feel pampered should give me their undivided attention especially because I’m paying them. You know? And now that I think about it several techs had AirPods in their ears. I’ve paid $40 for mani pedi nearly every time I get my nails done (both shellac) and the experience was immaculate. But that was in Houston. I paid $51 here – basic pedicure $25 and shellac manicure $26. I didn’t tip the tech for obvious reasons. This is the first nail salon I’ve been to in Layton (I just moved here). I hope not every salon is like the one I just went to. Also I should mention they were not busy at all so there should have been no need to rush. Then there was a client next to me giving her tech instruction and the tech seemed to be struggling to follow that clients instructions. I don’t want to speak for her though cause he might have ended up doing a good job. Who knows. Here are some pictures of my nails (taken as soon as I got home).

Pedicures Yes! manicure NO. Waxing no protection for your skin or cleansing. My manicure looks jenkier then when I walked in. The fill is lopsided and uneven as well as some of the acrylic didn’t cure properly, but why was it under the nail? She carelessly slaps nails on and shapes very jenky. It was so bad I didn’t even want her to attempt the actual design.

I feel like I’ve been to just about every salon in the Salt Lake Valley looking for the best pedicure and I generally end back up at Tammy Lynn’s. Service is always great and friendly, also incredibly affordable for the services offered. I enjoy being here.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI don’t think I have ever had a worse set of nails in my life! The acrylic was laid so horribly, it was all sorts of bumpy and so thick! Plus I asked for coffin shape, and those are definitely square. Had to ask the guy to change the design 3 separate times after I told him I did not want black to show on the nails and he was very rude about it even after I had apologized for being difficult. There was also little black specks in the white acrylic. When I came home even my boyfriend noticed how awful the nails were and that’s really saying something! My mom also got a gel manicure and they just painted her nails even though she had asked for a manicure, they did nothing special. What a waste of $66 for me to just go home and fix them myself. Okay, I’m pretty poor so being able to treat myself to these services cost a lot of money which is probably why I care so much about my experience. I’m celebrating my anniversary this weekend and was really excited about getting dolled up for the occasion. I get REALLY awful callouses on my heels so a pedicure was necessary. I was not super impressed with the pedicure. I didn’t feel like I got a massage, but I wouldn’t have cared enough about that had she even touched my heels. She did NOTHING for my callouses even though I had specifically asked for the pedicure that mentioned being great for calloused feet. I was really bummed about that, but tried shrugging it off. I got a manicure which doesn’t deserve mentioning. I also got a full face wax. I’ve never done this before so was pretty excited. The lady waxing me forgot to do half my chin and half my lip… I told her and she happily finished the job, afterward I asked for eyebrow tinting and she didn’t have the stuff for it. I was very frustrated. I had called the day before to try to set up an appointment because I was doing so much stuff and they said to come at 5, if I had known they weren’t able to satisfy my wishes for this weekend I would have found somewhere else for everything.
