I went here because I’ve always used Sports Clips for a quick and affordable haircut, and I received the best service I’ve ever had here. I got my hair cut by the manager on duty on 8/22/22 around 2:30pm (I forgot her name and I lost the receipt, if you see this please help me out here! Hopefully the date and time can help with giving her the proper credit), and she was excellent throughout the process.

I am going to start off by saying Trista, and Ms Tish do a fantastic job at this location. However, when I learned today after my haircut of a new $5-$10 up-charge for a “detailed cut” after getting my usual skin fade, I couldn’t help but laugh. I have already observed prices increasing after coming to this location since 2019 but to charge extra for fades, tapers, or anything that actually requires attention to detail is ridiculous. All you’re doing at this point is taking away the ladies tips that they earn by doing a good job and putting it into the pockets of a company that’s worth millions. I’m not sure if this is a nation wide decision, or a district one, but whoever it is should really reevaluate things.

I have been using the sport clips a few different locations in Kansas City metro area and Topeka for the last couple of years and have received the same hair cut. I get a haircut every 2 to 3 weeks as needed for my work. Not a hard hair cut just no guard medium fade on the sides and trim the top. I did not request skin shavers or anything out of the norm for the last two years but was charged an extra 5 dollars for “detail work” which I have never been charged this before. My Attalids was nice and friendly but I give her a D on the work. Fade was poor and needed to clean up with my hand clippers at home. In addition I have been to this location a few times and got the same cut but this time was poor quality and cost me 5 more dollars.

Had a great experience overall. Latrice did amazing. I don’t usually accept the washing and massage afterwards, but Latrice insisted since it is included in the haircut, and I did not regret it. I’d like to preface by saying I’ve never actually reviewed anything on google, and I don’t want to name the stylist specifically but went in and asked the girl for 1/2 inch off my hair( I have relatively long hair). The girl said “so just clean it up a little bit” so I thought we were on the same page, first cut was 3 inches off and by that point it was too late to tell her to stop. This was my first experience at a sports clips. Let me tell you 11/10 for sure!!!! Hanna was my stylist she listened to everything I was wanting and went above and beyond for an amazing cut and beard trim. Hanna Even helped out and mentioned that I had a few dry spots on my scalp. She recommended some tea tree hair and scalp treatment that has worked wonderfully. I’ll definitely be going back and asking for her again.
