Mrs. Hoam took so much time listening and understanding the source of neuromuscular pains I have due to my cancer (in spine) that in just the first session my blood pressure went down and I felt like myself again for the first time in over 5 years. I’ve had over 7 oncologists and never thought massage would be the key to getting my sharpness and happiness back. She was gentle but firm in her knowledge of the human body and natural medicine, mainly that being physical touch. I understand how far-fetched this may sound, but Sarah has given me my Life and my “spark” back. She knows where not to touch on my back just by learning through touch my musculoskeletal system. I stand straight with my head and shoulders back for at most about 2 months after just one 90 minute session. This is unheard of for people with my cancer (chronic leukemia of the bone marrow). She won’t talk much. She listens like I’ve never seen before and I believe that’s how she’s so in touch with what’s going on underneath the skin. She’s not afraid to dive in because I believe she’s so confident in this different type of knowledge of the human body and physiology that I’ve never seen before even from many many medical professionals. She has a very secure serene space that’s not like a doctors office waiting room with so many others waiting. No receptionist, no fluff; Just a person with almost otherwordly skills that can change your life. My name is Courtney Hodges Carr and I can vouche for all of this. My cancer story played on NBC4 every month for one year and Sarah was actually in one episode because it was the first time during chemo I felt okay. She’s like a secret you want to keep, but know how many people she could help so you can’t do that. She’s so meek you won’t see advertising and you won’t get much when you thank her over and over. Her humility is like icing on the sweet cake of feeling light, energetic, and YOU again.
