Today I had my first session with Alexi. My nickname for her is Alexi the great! I had been having issues with my legs, Particularly my Achilles’ tendon, calves, hamstrings, and gastrocnemius muscles. I had been seeking treatment via deep tissue massages for a while now. Although deep tissue massages feel good, they also felt extremely “cookie cutter.” I knew about Rolfing but had never gone to a Rolfer before. I watched many videos and read up on Rolfing, so I figured it was time to make this happen. Once I arrived, Alexi went over the questionnaire I filled out before showing up and the walking assessment. Alexi noticed a habit in my walking that I did not know I was doing. Alexi then informed me of what she was going to focus on. That was music to my ears. When Alexi began to work on me, I could feel my leg releasing tension; at that point, I knew I had made the correct decision. During the session, Alexi checked on me to ensure I was okay and that the pressure was not too much. At the end of the session, Alexi and I spoke more, and she went into detail about what to expect in the next couple of days, as well as to stay hydrated. After one session, I do feel better. I can not wait to go back for my second, third, and more sessions to correct years of wear and tear. Alexi, I am so happy I chose your practice; keep up the fantastic work, and I will see you soon!
