Cranial-Sacral massage
Cranial sacral therapy (also known as CST) is a gentle form of bodywork that focuses on the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum. The goal is to release compression in those areas to alleviate stress and pain. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. CST is most often applied with the client lying down, fully clothed in a quiet and peaceful environment.
Deep Tissue Massage
A series of intense techniques are used to manipulate sore, tight muscles and connective tissue that holds them in place. Deep Tissue work increases circulation, releases built-up toxins, and heals and restores balance to the body and nervous system. It is important to stay hydrated after a deep tissue massage session to help flush lactic acid out of the tissues. If the lactic acid isn’t flushed, you could be quite sore the next day.
