My boyfriend went with me and we were advised there was a wait when we walked in. The wait ended up being very short and when they were ready for me they instructed my boyfriend could sit next to me which was really sweet! I had Ted as my nail tech and he was SO great! I think my nails were a slight challenge for him because of the clear nails but he never hesitated to ask to see my reference picture again, and made sure i liked what he was doing as he was working. He was very professional and i really appreciate how patient he was with making sure i liked my nails- and i LOVE THEM! I will be visiting for Ted again! I read reviews about pricing but i was charged $65 and that included the charge to take off acrylics i already had on (not including tip). Great pricing and great staff.

Positive: Professionalism, QualityI see a lot of hit or miss reviews for Luxx, and this is my honest opinion. I’ve been coming to this salon on and off for the past 2 years, and I think it really depends on the nail tech you get. I’ve never had a truly horrible experience, quite the opposite actually, I’m always met with kindness and attentiveness when I walk through the door! That being said, I have had a set or two that was not up to par in shape and cut BUT this last set I got 2 weeks ago is by far my fave set ever! I loved my tech, she was reassuring and gentle throughout seeing as I had just jammed one of my fingers a couple days prior and it was very sensitive. When it came to my design and shape she would constantly ask if it looked good to me before she continued on. I will always be a returning customer and I think I’ve found the tech I will continue to go to at this nail salon! I see a lot of hit or miss reviews for Luxx, and this is my honest opinion. I’ve been coming to this salon on and off for the past 2 years, and I think it really depends on the nail tech you get. I’ve never had a truly horrible experience, quite the opposite actually, I’m always met with kindness and attentiveness when I walk through the door! I have been coming here for several months and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing and the greeters are always very cordial and helpful. Heather does my nails and pedicures. I’m originally from Dallas and I have my own go-to nail tech. However, I’ve been working in San Antonio and needed my nails done asap. Have been trying different nail salons and reading all kinds of reviews. I was originally on my way to Fantasy Nails but decided to stop here. I walked in, they quickly greeted me and got me to a chair. I had the opportunity to meet Kayla, she was friendly and quickly started to work on my nails. She was experienced and her shape was really good. I went with a French tip it’s a simple and classy design but she added quality to her work. They were rushing her at the end since the salon did get packed but overall will be returning thanks to her.

Reasonable pricing, they don’t rush through the services, very nice and although I didn’t get fake nails, their work is really good! Plus they have me a pretty rose for mother’s day! I recommend this place and would go back! Nail art, Dip powder, Pedicure, Foot massages

So I originally went in for a pedicure, and Gel dip. This will be my first time ever getting gel dip so I was pretty new to the process. When I initially got there, and picked out a color I was informed that they do not have the exact matches of the dip as opposed to the jail color although I like for my colors to exact match, I understood and I was OK with it.The guy who did my pedicure was very friendly and personable, and although I would have liked a little bit more action on the pedicure, overall it was a good experience. Next up was my gel dip for my fingers and he was not the one who was going to do it, a lady was. So I sat down at the desk, and she told me a few of my nails were too short for dip and I would need to get tips. I told her that I could not get tips because I am a nurse and we are not allowed to work tips. She proceeded to put a tip on one of them and I had to stop her and when I stopped her she said “so no tip, “and I told her no, I would get fired so, she told me that I was not able to get the gel dip. I was OK with that I said I will let my nails grow out a little bit longer and come back. On the way up to the counter another lady stopped to me and told me that someone else will be able to do my dip. I told him not to worry about it because at that point I feel like they was trying to get extra money out of me, I don’t know if it was from her telling me that I needed to add tips because that cost extra, or the fact that they was going to do a shotty nail dip on me for me to say my money. It was a nice salon but I don’t think that I will return.
