Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI wouldn’t go here. I had an appt with Jass (StylesSorority on Instagram) and it was a complete disaster. I was excited because I found her on Instagram and she seemed like a great stylist.We had spoken a couple times before my appointment. In one of the conversations, I let her know the time and date of my appointment. In fact, she actually she texted me last night before my appt to confirm how much was due (since I paid my deposit twice due to her not knowing how her booking site works).I arrive at my appt on time at 9AM just to get a text from her saying “the salon opens at 9:30, I’ll be there at 9:15.” She did not arrive until 9:45AM!! FORTY-FIVE WHOLE MINUTES after my scheduled appt time. She was didn’t really speak to me during the appt but I didn’t mind because apparently her new assistant was starting today.About halfway through my appt, her next client came in. She instructed her assistant to wash, dry and braid her next client. She kept stepping away to help her assistant which I usually wouldn’t mind but I was already passed the amount of time the appt was supposed to span by AN HOUR. I let her know that I’d been there for a long time so I needed her to focus on my hair because she was late (if I could wait, so could her other client. Only fair!) She then starts rushing through the rest of my style. She barely finished braiding my feed-ins and did a really piss-poor job with my edges/baby hairs. Nothing like what I’d seen on her social media.When my appt was over, I asked her if she could take something off because she was almost 50 minutes late and I’d been there double the time she projected. She said “but the style is already only $60” so I said “ooookay and you were very late.” She said “girl you could just pay $50 cause it really wasn’t even that serious.” I was sooo annoyed because she was clearly being rude when she KNEW she was in the wrong. PLUS the style was actually $110 but, once again, I paid my $25 deposit TWICE.I suffer from hair loss and I was so excited to get a style that would help me feel confident about my hair. I left unsatisfied and disappointed.
