I took my 2yo for a haircut at cookie cutters. The staff was super friendly and kind. And the settings in the store were super cute and attracted my son’s attention right away. Our daughter just turned 3 and she was long overdue for her first haircut. We were walk-ins and luckily Sydney had an opening. Everything is great there–the play structure, perfectly sized potty, tvs at every station, and especially the staff! We had an amazing experience and our little lady is in love with her hair! You just need a location in Lansing so we don’t have to drive an hour to see you. Thank you!

Brought my 15 month old son nearly 2 hours from home so we could have a special ‘first haircut’ experience. We got a hotel room to make a weekend of it. Our first stop was Cookie Cutters where our stylist, Shelby, did an absolutely AMAZING job with our son’s hair! She got his favorite cartoon (Bluey) going on the TV, started up the bubble machine and made our little guy feel as comfortable as possible being in a new place, having a new experience.

After months of the only child oriented hair salon/barber shop in Lansing closed down, I have made the choice to branch out to Grand Rapids for my 3 year old sons hair cut. It was the best choice I made for his hair cut. They are wonderful, calm, attentive and BEST OF ALL, THEY HAVE THE PATIENCE! I will no longer take my son to great clips or sports clips, as they are not trained to handle children and end up stressing my child and I to the max. I highly recommend Cookie Cutters to parents looking for top quality hair cuts and stylists with patience. I regretfully forgot the man’s name and the woman stylist’s name, but thank you again for a great hair cut for my son and taking so much stress off of my shoulders. 10 out of 10 for this shop.

This was our first visit, and my son was having a hard day. Brittany was accommodating, comforting, and patient beyond belief! She truly met him half way to ease his mind.. She ended up cutting his hair in the waiting area because he was more comfortable – we were blown away. Brittany is incredible! Highly recommend her for kids with sensory issues or special needs.

It was a wonderful experience! I took my son in for his first haircut and when he walked in he was immediately excited! Very friendly atmosphere and even more amazing employees. You could not ask for a better staff to cut your child’s hair. They take something that is generally simple and make it a wonderful and memorable experience. I will be taking my children to them over and over!!

My son got to sit in an airplane (one of his favorite things) and the stylist Matt was so friendly and caring and nice to my son! Positive: Professionalism, QualityNormally coming to this local business should be trust worthy to bring my 3 year old son for a haircut. I highly recommend that you do not go through Amanda! Any other professional that cuts kids hair would do their best to calm the child down so they can do a proper haircut. Unfortunately with Amanda she was completely unprofessional. Not only did she fail to do her job but while trying to give our son a haircut she was squeezing down on his head and trying to hold his down against her chest just to try to do the edges around my son’s neck. Took my oldest to regular salon since she was two and always put it off because her ended up crooked due to her never sitting still. We’ll my baby is two and needs a trim and so did my oldest so I figured for three extra dollars it was worth and shot and it well over was!
