First let me start of by saying Nicole is very professional and talented. She braids very gentle and her time management is on point. However, I gave a 3 star rating because I feel her business practices comes off as shady. My first time booking with her was for a $30 off boho loc deal. At the time of booking, small boho locs were listed as $220. Which means after the $30 off coupon and $25 deposit my remaining balance at the time of service should have been $165. However, my balance was $195 because she stated small boho locs were $250. Now when you look up the style it’s $270. My 2nd appointment I was booked for stich braids. I sent Nicole the style I wanted beforehand and asked how much would the style be. I noticed she added bohemian hair to my style which is an extra $30 fee. My style didn’t include bohemian hair. I wanted 4 stich braids with curly ends which is done by rolling the ends and dipping it into hit water. When I arrived to my appointment I even clarified the need to use bohemian hair and she stated she didnt need it for the style I chose. However, once again I was still over charged. I paid $105 for 4 stich braids because she indicated she took half off the bohemian hair since I didn’t use it and charged me $15 for curling the ends. I have never hear of this before. This is also NOT listed as an additional service on her booking site. I could’ve curled my own ends at home or better yet just had her braid my ends down. She would’ve dipped my ends in hot water anyway to seal my ends. My style balance should’ve been $65 but it was $80. Stich braids are $90 after my $25 deposit that leaves a $65 balance. With that being said I will not be returning. I do not play when it comes to my money especially when I budget for things I like to do or pamper myself with. It’s okay to go up in pricing but be up front. Its even okay to charge for every little thing but you need tk be upfront. When it comes to peoples money you must be clear and specific in your fees and charges. If you can’t afford to do specials or discount your rates then dont offer them. Again great stylist but not for me. If you choose to book with her please screenshot the service you booked to be sure of pricing and your balance. I don’t have time to play with my money.
