I have seen Mai (A Master Technician) for the past year, and she is by far the best nail technician I have ever been to. I typically get a gel pedicures and a dip manicure with tips. She is meticulous and so sweet! My nails always turn out perfect. I love the Ambiance in Mason (the one by Whole Foods and Ulta), and if you go you HAVE to see Mai.

Came here a couple weeks ago with a friend who got both a basic Mani and Pedi while I opted for just the basic pedi. The service was horrible and absolutely unprofessional. After I declined the botanical pedicure, my tech’s whole demeanor changed. She did a lousy and sloppy job with my pedicure, especially the top coat, and never bothered once to check in during the entire process. I had to clean up the nail polish on my cuticles before it dried and she didn’t bother to even file so the shape is wonky. At the end, the tech said “You (can) pay at the front to the receptionist” so I figured we’d both pay after my friend was finished. My tech came back and started badmouthing me in Vietnamese to my friend’s tech in front of both of us… The shrieking was so loud that I could barely hear my friend speaking next to me. Unfortunately for her, I’m also Vietnamese so I understood it all. It’s very clear that they are only interested in providing quality service to a certain clientele (maximize their tips) and that they make the assumption based on initial impressions. (My white friend had amazing service). I guess the nail salon tropes about them trash talking you in another language really does apply to this salon.

I had such a great experience at Ambiance Salon. I don’t get my fingernails done very often and I wanted them pretty for my son’s wedding. I did SNS powder for the first time and couldn’t have been more pleased. They were also wonderful helping me find the perfect shade of blue with some sparkle to accompany the blue of my dress. I will definitely return to have them done again.

DO NOT USE! Tony did my nails, and it was the worst: filed my skin, didn’t look up from his phone, never spoke to me and then added $25 in fees to the bill that he never advised me of. $85 for sloppy work and poor customer service. He was rude too— dumped cuticle oil on my hands and then sent me away— my hands are covered in oil and no way to wipe them off!

I went there for the first time an availed waxing services , pedicure and sns dip powder manicure.. liked the waxing and pedicure experience… but the dip powder manicure was bad, (Tony) the guy was acting as if he didn’t want to do it but was doing it forcibly… not sure what he did in a couple of days I started getting cuticle problem also the nails.. and even the nails were looking bad with so much gap between skin and the nail color…

I have never left any business a review where I didn’t have anything positive to say before, but I was left really upset by this experience because I came in with nice nails that were just slightly chipped and left with badly damaged nails. I had recently had my nails done at another salon and so they looked really good when I got here, just some chipped polish. The tech at this salon filed my nails to really uneven and jagged shapes and I stopped her after the first hand and asked her to please make them more oval like my nails already had been. Instead she made them really pointy and completely different lengths, and she started painting them when the edges still had loose bits of nail hanging off and I had to ask her to smooth them. Not to mention the polish was uneven and a hair from a brush was left stuck in it. I ended up having to fix them at home and I wish I had never come, my nails looked better before the manicure than after it.

On Thursday I came in to get a gel manicure with colored French tips. The nail tech didn’t ask me anything about what I wanted, so I assumed she saw the photo I submitted and knew what I wanted. She didn’t add tips to get the length and shape I wanted. I decided to not say anything and just let it be. Well by Monday all of the gel had started to peel up. I went back in and asked how much it would cost to get what I had actually wanted. I was told that you can’t put gel on tips, which I know isn’t true. He fixed them but still not how I originally asked for them. I wish I could get my money back and go somewhere else to get what I actually want. If you want to be lied to then this is the salon for you.

The color I picked turned out looking different on my nails. It was supposed to be a light pink color, but it’s a little darker and has a touch of orange color in it. I used the dip powder. I hope it doesn’t do this the next time. Dip powder
