Located in a restored 1902 factory, right in River West, AIRE Ancient Baths is a spa in Chicago that opens its doors for you to find the experience for body and mind you are looking for. An exclusive bath house inspired by the traditional Roman, Greek and Ottoman ancient experiences designed to guide you through a journey of sensations while our thermal baths at different temperatures (hot, cold, warm and ice), our steam rooms, jets bath and Flotarium (Salt Bath). We purchased the “Ultimate Bath” package, and it was a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a member of staff at each checkpoint – the front desk, the locker room, then again at the bottom of the stairs to the baths. It is the most serene setting; dim lighting with candles throughout, self-serve water and tea stations to keep hydrated, then of course the beautiful bath and steam stations. The salt water bath and the warm marble slabs to rest on were our favorites, but everything was delightful. It was the perfect start to the day, we already decided we will be back for more services! The staff in the women’s locker room are wonderful, as are the L’occitane shower products provided. I cannot recommend this experience enough!

One of the most relaxing experiences of my life- it’s worth the price! I would do it again, and soon. Ranging from a salt bath to a lavender steam room, outdoor bath to scrubs and massages, it has so many options to explore that are not only relaxing but beneficial! You get a robe and water slippers that you keep on the entire time. The staff is all so friendly and ready to help if you need anything! Everyone who comes is very immersed in their experience, and it shows. Phones aren’t allowed in the bathhouse so you can truly enjoy your time there. The baths are also shallow enough to walk in comfortably and sit down in! There are showers and hair products to use after the experience and they even dry your bathing suit for you. Definitely recommend!

The best place for instant relaxation. The salt water bath is life saving. The steam rooms are so good for relieving sinus pressure. My body stayed on relax mode for days after visiting. We were treated we the best customer sevice. I also loved the indoor/outdoor bath with the waterfall because it massaged my shoulders,neck and back so good!! I will be back very soon!! You are not allowed to take in phones and that is the best poilcy ever. Truly a time to unwind and reconnect.

This was a really nice place. It looks like they offered valet service if you drive there. It’s in a alley but opens up to a place of tranquility. The lobby sets the mood for your experience. Checking in was quick. The locker room attendants were helpful. Once you go into the bath area, they give you a tour of all the pools. Although I really didn’t remember much because it was a lot of information lol. This seems to be more of a couple place although I’m sure it probably just depends. The locker room lady did say at the end more couples are there on the weekends. Very romantic so I recommend bringing a date but if you’re alone like me, it’s still cool. Love the steam rooms and the complimentary tea. I had one of the juices which was also great. My favorite part of course was my massage. I forgot her name but she was great. I loved that they warmed up my swimsuit after the massage. Seriously all I keep thinking was how nasty a wet swimsuit would feel after this amazing Massage. But when she slipped my shoes on and gave me a warm towels with it wrapped that made everything great! Maybe the can throw the robe in the warmer too. Enjoyed every moment. Can’t wait to try the other locations. Especially out the country. No phones allowed in the bath house area to respect everyone’s privacy. I would show you some amazingness of the venue but not allowed to take pics in those area. The hair dryers in the locker room were also a plus

The experience is pretty good. I did find my self to be very relaxed, and the ambiance and decor was great. The only things were that I think the price is too high for the experience, and the cleanliness could be better. Lots of water on the ground and they could have someone mopping it up. Given the steep price I also thought the products they give us (face mask, body scrubs) could have been a much higher quality. Those left a lot to be desired.
