I came in for a haircut with Jessica about 2 weeks ago. I was looking for a short cut with smooth layers. She gave me a blunt, uneven cut with choppy layers. I called the next day, hoping for some help. The receptionist said they like to give the original stylist a chance to correct their mistake, I politely declined. I reiterated I really just need a stylist that’s great with layers to help smooth them out. She then scheduled me an appointment with a stylist a level BELOW Jessica. A colleague recommended Roots Southern Salon in downtown. I highly recommend Lilly B – she fixed my hair and it’s an absolutely gorgeous cut now. Also, I only paid about $10 more for a wash, cut, and style with her versus just the dry cut with Jessica.

Took my 13 year old daughter to get her first ever color. She wanted teal and the stylist Rachel blew us away! She did and absolutely amazing job. My daughter is beyond happy with the outcome. I highly recommend 40 Volume Salon and will be returning for future colors and touch ups. Haircut, Shampoo & conditioning

I went in today for a highlight and Carmen was my stylist. I told her I wanted to go for a Jennifer Lopez look and showed her a picture she absolutely set my expectations right and made me look the most amazing I’ve looked in a while. I highly recommend going with Carmen she has magical hands and she is super nice I will definitely be coming back to maintain this look for a long time. It’s also important to note that my natural hair is extremely dark and she did these highlights without damaging my hair and made them look as natural as possible!

I love 40 Volume!!!! Just went yesterday and had my haircut by Sam and it was awesome. I am super picky with my hair is cut and she did a perfect job! I have never been somebody to have a “person” Who I regularly get my haircut by but I am a believer now… And I even made an appointment to come back when normally I avoid getting my haircut for years at a time because I always hate the way it’s cut. Thank you Sam for doing an awesome job I am so excited to have you be my hair person!!!!!

I adore this place I go there for all my beauty needs. Sarah there did a blue-gray fade on my very long hair in December (2021) and it still looks good! I can’t believe how long the color job has lasted. I get my facials from Morgan, I look forward to it every time. She’s so easy to talk to.

I love getting my hair cut by Anna! She makes the whole visit light and fun, and I trust her judgement completely. She’s so skilled and quick, it feels like I’ve barely sat down, and she’s already done what takes other stylists twice as long. She is kind, friendly, and very skilled at her job! I’ve never been a frequent client of any salon. I have super fine, very straight, long hair, and a lot of it. After 1 visit here, I’ve booked regular appointments every 2 months. I love my stylist and enjoy watching the other stylists create magic. I see people come in with their curly hair not knowing what to do with it or how to really style it and leaving looking like a whole new person. Greatest full service salon!

Kristie is awesome. My curly hair has never looked better—I’ve never found a stylist before her who truly knows what they are doing! She did a dry special cut that’s specific for curly hair. She was so kind, thoughtful, and just the best. My hair color is also perfect and the salon environment is so beautiful. I will definitely return!

Lindsey is THE BEST! I have been going to 40 Volume Salon for a little over a year and have always left with a smile on my face, looking like a million bucks and feeling like a whole new woman! Lindsey takes the best care to treat my hair and achieve my color goals and is very skilled with my extensions. As a former Great Lengths USA hair model, Lindsey and her products are right on par with top of the industry standards and I have been very satisfied with each visit. I drive over an hour from Hilton Head to see her and it is well worth the drive! The whole vibe at 40 Volume is fabulous with excellent products at great prices, fun events, a wide variety of services, extremely knowledgeable staff and overall a very pleasant, quality experience. 5/5 Stars, all the way!
